Mikala & Michael

Our Story

Mikala and Michael met in middle school, but it wasn’t until freshman year of high school (2005) in Ceramics class that their friendship truly began.  From the very beginning, they had an easy friendship, rooted in laughter (often at the expense of one another), trust and authenticity.  They spent hours talking on the phone a couple of times a week and would drive around town listening to music after school. Their favorite album to drive to was August and Everything After by the Counting Crows and they even shared a song — Blinded by Third Eye Blind. They also spent freshman and sophomore summers working as wait staff together at Mama Leone’s on Hampton Beach. 

Over the years they remained just friends, who would get together over the holidays and share a meal.  It was the kind of friendship, even as many years passed between the two, that the connection never died.  Finally in June 2022, Michael made a trip to LA for work and had reached out to Mikala before going to arrange plans to get together.  From the moment they reconnected in LA their friendship was rekindled, and for the first time ever, they gave romance a shot.  Over 2 years later they’ve decided to get married and can’t wait to celebrate their love for the rest of their lives, with all of the people they love the most.
